Mojo programming language is now open source

The Mojo programming language has been released as open source, according to reporting by Simon Willison. Modular, the company behind Mojo, had promised an open source release since May 2023. Last week the company shipped what Willison describes as “their 1.0,” and this week Modular followed through on the earlier promise by releasing the compiler and toolchain.
